Nights like this, I'd be better off at work!

Too much time on my hands, and too many thoughts rolling around in my brain.

Not to mention that my mother in law is over for the last day of Hanukkah, (which, by the way, is tonight....but don't tell her!)...and being the dutiful son in law that I am...I let her watch her "programs".

NCIS....anything Channel 2....programs for the "alter kacher" set! (A Rossi Glossary expression I don't have time to explain now!)

Anyway, the Kennedy Center Honors are on, and one of the honorees is Neil Diamond.

Who knew that probably his most famous song, "Sweet Caroline" was written with Caroline Kennedy in mind? Apparently my mother in law did, and she proceeded to tell my wife this about 13 times throughout the show.

OK, so I like "Sweet Caroline" a little. I remember being at "murmur" at the Borgata with some friends, somewhat tipsy, and hearing the dj play the song, feeling like I was tripping! (Which I was, but that's another story!)

I was kinda hoping that he'd have sung my favorite song....the one that's his autobiography:

Alas, no "Brooklyn Roads"...but maybe it's just as well....my mother in law probably would have said something like, "....he probably wrote that for Caroline Kennedy!" (No ma!)

So off to Facebook I went and saw this post, and as a public service, felt the need to repost it:

So then I add:

We're staying home for Chinese with friends and a little "Honeymooners" marathon! (humahnah humahnah Chef of the future!!)

Which leads to your favorite "Honeymooners" line.

Thought I'd share one of mine:

"Ralphie, I thought I told you to pour out your heart....not vent your spleen!"
