Raid On Menendez Donor’s Office Targets Medicare Fraud, Not Allegations [VIDEO]
The Florida raid on the office of a contributor to Robert Menendez (D) was focused more on possible Medicare fraud and not allegations about the Senator's activities in the Dominican Republic.
The Miami Herald reports that the FBI was joined on the late Tuesday night raid on the offices of Dr. Salomen Melgen were investigators from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services which looks into allegations of Medicare wrongdoing.
The FBI has a second investigation into the relationship between Melgen & Menendez and allegations made by the Daily Caller political website that Melgen provided the Democrat with free trips and underage Dominican Republic prostitutes.
Menendez’s office says he reimbursed a prominent Florida political donor $58,500 for the full cost of two out of three trips on the donor’s plane to the Dominican Republic and called the allegations “politically-motivated.”
