Authorities are investigating the murder of a Rahway woman who was found dead in her home Monday, the Union County Prosecutor announced.

The victim has been identified as Yolanda Vega, 35. According to a press release from acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park, the Union County Homicide Task Force and units from the Rahway police Department responded to the victim's home, located on the 1900 block of Beacon Street, at about 4 a.m. Monday morning.

Vega's body was located inside her residence and authorities say she was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy  is scheduled for late Monday, authorities said.

A joint investigation into the murder is underway by members of the Prosecutor's Office along with the Rahway police Department and the Union County Sheriff's Office Identification Unit. Police have not yet named any suspects in the case.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that might lead to an arrest and indictment in the case through Union County Crime Stoppers.
