Two convenience stores are wrestling to dominate commuter-driven New Jersey.

A Wawa gas station in Manchester (Dan Alexander, Townsquare Media NJ)
Quick Chek in Neptune (Ilya Hemlin, Townsquare Media NJ)

Both sell gas, on-the-go meals, snacks, and other items like toiletries. Both have also developed strong customer loyalty, but which chain you prefer seems to depend on where you're from. Many in South and Central Jersey swear by Wawa, while QuickCheck is favored in the area around and north of Route 78.

A Market Force Information survey showed 68% of consumers nationwide prefer Wawa for gas.
