NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Cassy

Cassy, a Staffordshire terrier mix, is one of the sweetest dogs we have come across! All she wants is love! Cassy came in as a stray, and it's obvious her life was less than happy. She's not good with other dogs, but is great with people of all ages. In fact, once she meets you, all she wants to do is cuddle on your lap!!!

If you’re interested in learning more about Cassy or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs and puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Cody and Bonita

Cody and Bonita’s family lost their home recently and this wonderful sweet guy and girl from the same liter were very reluctantly and tearfully surrendered to the shelter. These Labrador retriever mixes are both 9 years old, and have been inseparable since birth. They spent their days outside, and the nights inside with the family. They are great with children and other animals. Both are very easy to be with, know some commands, healthy, love to be petted and take treats gently. We are looking for a loving family to keep them together. Once anyone meets them, we are certain they will fall in love with them.

If you're interested in meeting Cody and Bonita or fostering/adopting them, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable dogs from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
