ROCKAWAY — A township cop is facing charges alleging he had an inappropriate relationship with two teenagers.

Wilfredo Guzman, 40, allegedly had sex with the two girls who were between the ages of 15 and 17-years-old in 2014 and 2015, according to Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp. In addition to having sexual contact with the girls, Knapp said Guzman also allegedly provided the girls with alcohol and prescription drugs during that time.

Guzman has been charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and two more counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Knapp said Guzman was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility following his arrest.

State pension records show Guzman has nearly 19 years of experience and was earning a base salary of $113,000.
