Proposed Law In Spain Would Force Kids To Do Chores

It could very well go nowhere, but lawmakers in Spain are working on a bill that would, among other things, force children under 18 to perform household chores. It would also require that children would “be respectful to their parents and teachers and have a positive attitude toward learning.”

The bill is still in its infancy, so the punishments for disobeying the law haven’t been determined. The BBC reports that Spanish men are already required to contribute to the housework or face sanctions, especially when they divorce.

What would you think of doing that here? The kid part, I mean. Would you like a law requiring children to do some housework? Take our poll and share your thoughts below.
