A female Princeton University student was attacked early Sunday morning outside the Forbes Annex to the campus on Alexander Road, police said.

The suspect, described as male and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, stole the victim's wallet and fled on foot into the Springdale Golf Course, according to a Nixle alert sent out by police several hours after the incident.

NJ Advance Media reported that the woman, who is an undergrad student, was punched in the face twice during the altercation. She declined medical attention at the scene. Authorities from the university and Princeton Township canvassed the area but could not locate the suspect as of Sunday afternoon.
