Predator Fish That Can Live Out of Water Found in New York City [VIDEO]

Is this the most disgusting looking fish you have ever seen? The northern snakehead fish has recently been discovered in Central Park. This species is native to Asia, but has been sporadically spotted in various places along the East Coast in recent years.

According to NBC News,

The fish eats frogs and crayfish and has the ability to breathe air and live for days out of water in certain conditions.

It is so disruptive that the state prohibits possession, sale and transport of the live fish and its eggs.

Signs have recently gone up around the Harlem Meer warning anyone who catches one not to throw it back.

What is the strangest animal discovery you’ve ever had? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
