Powerball Fever Hits NJ, $320 Million Jackpot [POLL/AUDIO]
The Powerball jackpot has grown to $320 million for tonight's drawing. It certainly has New Jersey residents thinking about how they would spend all that cash.
"I would go live on a beach somewhere" said one man from Toms River.
"I would buy myself a motorcycle or a corvette" said Phil from Brick.
"Absolutely go on a vacation, which is something I haven't done in a long time...maybe to Costa Rica or Germany" said Danielle from Manchester.
While most people admitted they would splurge on themselves, there were a few that would spend the winnings on someone else.
"I have a lot of brothers and sisters so I would buy houses for all of us to live in" said one woman from Lakewood.
"I would open a veterinary clinic to take care of animals" said another man.
"Help out the poor and sick kids, like those with cancer."
"I am a single-mom and I would help out those women that could use it."
But, there are also people who simply said they would never work again.
"Retire, definitely" said a man from Pt. Pleasant. "I would call my job and quit and do nothing all day" said another woman.
The odds of winning the jackpot - one in 175 million.
The Powerball jackpot is played in 44 states, including New Jersey.
