NEWARK — Fans looking forward to seeing country music superstar Garth Brooks in action on Sunday night were left in the dark at least once before the star ever took the stage.

According to NBC Channel 4, fans reported at least two power outages before Brooks played his last show at the arena. Channel 4 reported that by 8:30 p.m. the power had been restored.

The Prudential Center confirmed the outage on its Twitter feed Sunday night as well.

PSE&G Spokesman Andrew Wesley told Channel 4 that the company was investigating what caused the outages.
