Portion of Amusement Ride Pulled from Point Pleasant Beach [PHOTO]

In what was expected to be an ongoing trend this summer at the Jersey Shore, another large piece from an amusement ride was pulled from the water today. This time in Point Pleasant Beach

Lifeguards at Bradshaw's Beach in Point Pleasant Beach pulled in what is believed to be a portion of an amusement ride out of the ocean today.

The guards spotted the object just below the surface, according to Jerry Meaney of the Point Pleasant First Aid and Emergency Squad.

"It looks similar to the one that Seaside Park Beach Patrol lifeguards found in the surf last week," said Meaney.

The squad's Rescue Dive Team is conducting a debris sweep of the borough's Lake Louise today.

"They've found a lot of dock wood, sharp metal, and siding," he said.
