West Long Branch Police are looking to identify another "porch pirate."

Police have distributed two pictures showing a man man they said took a package from a front porch, walking around a parked minivan. Police did not identify the address of the home or when the package was taken.

Authorities say anyone with information about the incident should call 732-299-5000 Ext 250.

The theft of packages from porches and front steps increased during the holiday season according to Consumer Reports, with the US Postal Service and delivery companies taking steps to avoid theft.

FedEx, the US Postal Service and UPS offer services allowing delivery times to be pre-arranged or to have a package held at one of its facilities. Amazon.com allows its customers use of its Amazon Locker, special secure kiosks located in shopping centers, stores and transit stations where packages can be left for pickup. There is a fee for using these services, however.
