The Press of Atlantic City reports  that police blamed pool chemicals at Mainland Regional High School in Linwood for causing noxious fumes, leading to the evacuation of the school. It was ventilated, and after-school activities were to be held as usual.

About 28 students were taken to a hospital complaining of nausea and headaches.
