The latest Monmouth University Poll is in, and you might be surprised who came out on top in Iowa this time.

According to Monmouth University pollster Patrick Murray, Donald Trump's support has remained stable over time, but with Ben Carson's campaign fading fast, Ted Cruz is picking up steam.

This, he said, is because the of Republican voters in Iowa are Evangelical Christians — and without Carson on the scene this demographic is more likely to choose Cruz.

According to Murray, it's still too early to say who people will actually vote for though.

"There is absolutely room for a lot of movement," Murray said.

He noted that only 19 percent of the Republican voters his team spoke with over the weekend said they're absolutely committed to a candidate.

Regarding Chris Christie, Murray said "There's room for him in Iowa." New Hampshire, however, will be "his make or break it state."
