Kevin McArdle has a story about the landscape being drastically changed for NJ's drunk driving laws.

Possible New Drunk Driving Law in NJ

The Assembly have passed a bill that is ready for vote by the State Senate that would allow 1st time convicted drunk drivers to have the ability to drive again after 10 days of having their license suspension. This would only apply to drivers whose blood alcohol level registered over the legal limit of .08 and no higher than .10. Drivers would have the ability to drive again only if they install a ignition interlock device.

As Jim and callers pointed out, the ignition interlock devices are not cheap by any means to have them installed. But to have the ability to drive again, is it worth it? If you're a driver on NJ's roads, do you feel safe if a law like this was in place?

Take the poll below and let us know what you think of this possible new law?
