Now that he's been inching up in national polls, Gov. Chris Christie shows no signs of dropping out of the presidential race. This despite a new poll that shows a majority of New Jerseyans want to see him end his bid for president.

According to a new Rutgers-Eagleton Poll, 67 percent of New Jersey Republican registered voters think Christie should end his campaign for the White House. Only 27 percent think he should continue.

The survey also reveals that 32 percent of voters think Christie would do better if Trump wasn't in the race, while 59 percent think he would be doing about the same as he is currently.

When it comes to who most Republican New Jersey voters are backing, Trump comes in first with 32 percent of the vote. Christie gets just 5 percent.

Meanwhile the ranking Republican in the state Senate has endorsed Trump for president.

Mike Doherty has been a rare Republican critic of Christie and is the latest conservative to throw his support behind Trump.
