When a video garners over 28 million views on Youtube, you have to figure it’s going to cause a little bit of a ruckus.

Such is the case with the recently released video featuring Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea shaking their behinds together in provocative poses throughout the just over this 4 minute tome to the butt.

Provocative videos, like video games, have been with us for a while now.

And while they’ve gotten more explicit, one questions whether the unintended consequence may be desensitizing and a message to the viewer (likely male) that it’s ok to view women merely as sexual objects.

More or less along the lines of how video games purportedly desensitize the user to violence. That would probably be the case for the over impressionable - but for the vast majority, the viewers of such videos, like those who play explicit video games, see them as pure entertainment and nothing more.

For her part, J.lo and Azalea (who I didn’t even know existed until now) deny any responsibility for their part.
Despite the fact that they’re doing all the performing.

But women’s groups protest anyway – bringing more attention to the video – possibly arousing (bad pun) the curiosity of anyone wondering what all the fuss is about.

Check out the video for yourself – if you can stand listening to the song! (The song sucks – in plain English!)

I was asked whether I thought this was the hottest video I’d ever seen.

Since I don’t get too much of a chance to watch videos, and my point of reference goes back to the days of “That’s the Way Loves Goes” and “Love Will Never Do” by Janet Jackson – I’d have to rate those as the hottest.

But I’m sure there are others.

However, for the purposes of this discussion, do you find the J.lo/Iggy Azalea “Booty” video offensive, just a mere marketing tool for a crappy song; or the hottest video you’ve ever seen?
