Recently, there has been an increase in horrible instances being caught on video. In these situations, bystanders are choosing to whip out their phones and film the incident, rather than call for help.

While it's normal to want to capture spur of the moment instances on film, witnesses cross the line when they decide to film terrible acts and upload them on social media.

This video shows a thief stealing a woman's cell phone on the subway. It looks as though the person taking the video knew that the man was going to snatch the phone. Instead of preventing the situation, he recorded it for the world to see.

Is social media making us insensitive to others? Are we willing to watch others get hurt just so we can gain likes and popularity online?
