Senate Bill 516 looks to increase the the penalties applied when a minor gains access to a firearm.

If it is signed into law, bill 516, could result in the parent of a minor going to jail for 3-5years if their child gets a hold of their firearm, even if it is fir self defense.

Most firearm advocates are urging others to reach out to their NJ Senator to tell them to veto or amend the bill to ensure that a case of self defense is not part of the bill.
