Political battles center around immigration

One of the biggest issues facing Republicans in Washington, D.C., and state governments around the nation is immigration.

The GOP has been largely outflanked by President Obama and Democrats in the effort to grant what amounts to amnesty of illegals.

Gov. Chris Christie continues to remain mum on the hot-button issue.

In fact, his silence has grown to the point where the national media is taking shots at him for talking about the issue, but not taking a hard position.

It could hurt him in a GOP primary for president.
