Police Still Can’t Find Hit-and-Run Victim in South Jersey
Evesham Police in New Jersey have still not located a pedestrian that they believe was struck by an elderly driver.
Evesham police say they are continuing to search using dogs and ATV patrols. Evidence collected at the scene is being analyzed.
An Evesham police officer stopped an 81-year-old motorist Tuesday night and noticed damage to the passenger side of the vehicle that was consistent with striking a person.
Police say the driver recalled striking something, but he was unsure what it was or where it happened.
Tests showed hairs on the vehicle were consistent with coming from a human.
Police hope someone comes forward with information about a missing person.
Police have scheduled at 3 p.m. news conference.
