HAMILTON (Mercer) — A stolen SUV was pulled out of a pond by police on Wednesday.

The Buick Enclave was stolen during a June 7 commercial burglary on South Broad Street in Hamilton and driven into Gropp's Lake, according to Hamilton Police.

Police said no one was in the car when it was recovered.

Photojournalist Brian McCarthy said Hamilton Mayor Kelly Yaede stopped by the lake during the search.

Hamlton's Whitehorse Fire Co. and the Trenton Fire Department’s Dive and Rescue Team assited with the operation.

The lake is located along Broad Street near a Shell gas station at the off ramp from Exit 2 of Route 195.
