Police: Paralyzed Trenton Man was Stabbed to Death

Authorities say a paralyzed Trenton man who was found dead in his wheelchair last weekend died from multiple stab wounds.

A maintenance man at the apartment complex where Ikime Melvin lived found the body there around 10 a.m. Monday. Melvin had last been seen on Sunday night, and investigators say a motive for the slaying remains unknown.

The attack occurred inside Melvin's apartment. But it initially wasn't clear if he had been stabbed or shot.

Authorities say they have not found a murder weapon, but declined to disclose further details.

No arrests have been made in the case.
