Authorities tell The South Jersey Times that 24-year-old Kristi Kline of Wilmington, Del., and 30-year-old Christine Frater of Carlisle, Pa., were arrested Sunday night while trying to run from a Wegman's food store in Cherry Hill where they were allegedly caught shoplifting.

Police say the pair abandoned a shopping cart where they had allegedly hidden items, and which also carried Kline's 8-month-old son.

The pair was arrested in the store's parking lot, and both were charged with heroin possession and shoplifting. Kline was also charged with child endangerment.

Kline's baby was turned over to a family member.

It's not clear if they have attorneys.
