Police locate missing autistic boy
ELIZABETH (AP) — Police have located a missing autistic boy.
A one-sentence message on the Union County Prosecutor's Office website offers no details about the discovery of 12-year-old David Bardales except that he is safe. Bardales, who also answers to the name Jamie Fernandez, was last seen before 9 p.m. Thursday on Rosehill Place in Elizabeth.
CBS New York reports the boy was found in nearby Linden.He was carrying a backpack containing an Xbox game console.
Authorities had thought the boy may have been headed for School Number 23, Carteret Park, Murray Street or South Elmora Avenue.
