Police: Four Wounded in Newark Street Shooting
Newark police are trying to determine what caused a weekend street shooting that left four people wounded, including a 66-year-old woman who happened to be driving by the scene.
Two teenage brothers and a 29-year-old woman were also wounded in the shooting, which occurred around 7 p.m. Sunday. It happened just two blocks from the police department's $68 million headquarters building that's scheduled to open next month.
Authorities say the younger woman and the brothers -- ages 15 and 17 --were all shot multiple times. The woman was struck in both legs and her right arm, while the 17-year-old was shot in his right leg and buttocks.
The 15-year-old was shot in the right leg, right arm and torso, while the older woman was hit in the hand.
