The South Jersey Times reports police found a body behind the Zimmerman farm on Salina Road at the bottom of a ravine on Tuesday afternoon matching the description of Renee Sheppard, 39 who  left her Miller Drive home on Thursday morning headed for a walk in the nearby thick woods with a cell phone and a book.

Police Chief Rafael Muniz told the Times that police found the cell phone during today’s search. The ravine area was the last to be searched today.

Washington Township Police Captain Richard Leonard tells KYW TV that police want to make sure they haven’t missed anything in their search of the 500-acre area.   The Gloucester County Emergency Response Team, the New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit and a special search and rescue dog from Pennsylvania are all part of Tuesday’s search according to the South Jersey Times.

Friends and family are also handing out flyers. Police do not suspect foul play in her disappearance.

Sheppard is described as white, having long reddish-brown or auburn hair,  5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing110 pounds. She was wearing dark colored pants, a tan colored jacket and a black colored shirt.

Anyone with information regarding Sheppard should call Washington Township Police at 856-256-1212.
