If you find yourself still humming "Greased Lightning" or "Summer Nights," you'll be happy to know there's a few places in New Jersey where you can grab a bit of that fun, '50s-era atmosphere.

The Chatterbox Drive-In

Hit the road and visit Sussex County's year-round fix for '50s fun.  Its famous Cruise Nights return in May, attracting classic car buffs from all over.


Nifty Fifty's restaurant

In Gloucester County, this family owned full-service restaurant in Turnersville offers a retro vibe, plus a Family Fun Center with mini-golf and a game room.

Yes, there's still a drive-in movie theater in New Jersey — this one in Vineland. Admissions are "always a double feature" — and sometimes a triple! The venue right now is in winter hibernation, but reopens spring through late fall.


Lead East

This annual oldies music and car festival doesn't happen until the end of summer- but it's worth the wait for any 50's fan who's never been.  From incredible hot rods, to live music, a sock hop and 50's karaoke, the five-day event in Parsippany has it all.
