Pittsgrove Father Had Drugs In System During Accident
A preliminary investigation reveals a Pittsgrove father killed in an accident on Route 40 had drugs in his system at the time.
Kevin Shelton and his 5-year-old son, Cole were killed in the accident that closed the highway for several hours on Wednesday morning. State Police report that neither Cole nor his 3 year old sister Cassidy, who remains hospitalized, were correctly strapped into their child safety seats according to WCAU TV.

Kevin's red Pontiac crossed lanes into the path of a tractor trailer on the way to a babysitter. "It seems more the driver was distracted possibly by something," said state Trooper Jason Pasqua.
The unidentified driver of the truck was not injured.
