HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — State Police say they have located the black Dodge Ram that witnesses say was involved in a deadly shootout on the Atlantic City Expressway Monday afternoon.

Five people were charged in the shooting, which claimed the life of Rosemund Octavius, 22, of Egg Harbor Township, and injured four others.

State Police say they began receiving reports of gunfire between moving vehicles on the eastbound side of the highway near Exit 12 around 3 p.m. Troopers on the Garden State Parkway then received a 911 call seeking medical assistance near milemarker 39 northbound. When they arrived, troopers found Octavius in a Nissan Maxima, where he died of a gunshot wound, according to the driver, who was identified as Anthony Hicks, 24, of Mays Landing. Hicks told police Octavius was shot while they were driving on the Parkway.

Witnesses reported to troopers that a black Dodge Ram pickup truck may have also been involved in the shooting. On Tuesday evening, NJ State Police posted a message on twitter stating that the vehicle had been found, but that no arrests have been made. No additional information was released.

State police are asking anyone with additional information about the incident to contact the Atlantic City Expressway Station at 609-965-7200. Call can be kept anonymous.
