Spend a relaxing and scenic afternoon among beautiful fruit trees as you pick your own peaches this summer at Battleview Orchards.

Peach season at the farm runs from June 30 to Sept. 7. Families can just grab a bucket and load up on the freshest fruits that the state has to offer.

Don't forget to stop by the Battleview Orchards Country Store, open all year for fresh-pressed cider, baked goods, cider donuts and other tasty treats.

The cider donuts are fantastic, especially if you eat them when they're piping hot.

Hours, Prices, Location

Battleview Orchards is open for pick-your-own from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. but staff members urge you to call to make sure before coming.

To pick your own fruit, the orchard requires that the family purchase a membership for $1 per family and the membership is good for the whole season.

Peaches cost $1.30 per pound if you pick your own. There is no charge for parking.

Make sure you're bringing cash because it's the only payment option available.

The family-operated orchard says to call (732) 462-0756 first to confirm the hours, dates before traveling to the orchard.   Nectarine season is late summer and apple season starts late summer and runs all the way through the end of October. You can find a full list of pick-your-own fruit dates here.

The Battleview Orchards Country Store is open all year from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from April to December.
