Think the Giants are going to the Super Bowl? You’re not alone. Mark Eckel who writes for the Trenton Times and who was one of the few writers/talk radio hosts who actually gave you honest opinion as opposed to being a shill for the team, agrees with you. If you don’t believe that, keep in mind that he covers the Eagles.

Eckel, says the Giants may not be the best team in the NFC, in fact they may noe be  the most talented team in the NFC East, but what they are is a team built the right way to win when it counts, and they have a quarterback who can beat anybody in a big game. They’re also very well coached, which also plays a big part in big games — ask San Diego fans who suffered through the Norv Turner years or Eagles fans who watched Andy Reid come up small when the game was big.”

Eckel picks the Cincinnati Bengals as the opponent. Personally, I’ve gotta believe that if that game were to actually happen at Met Life Stadium, I would think the combination of Eli Manning, Tom Coughlin and  the Giants defense would have no problem beating the Bengals despite their 31-13 loss on Nov 11 of last year.

Who do you think will be in the Super Bowl when it comes to New Jersey this February and who do you think will win it?  I’m going Giants-Broncos. Eli won one on Peyton’s old home of Indianapolis, this time he beats his here. In fact if it happens, “Football on Your Phone” should be the halftime show! If you haven't seen the skit with the Manning Bros. yet, you can see it below.
