Phil Mickelson shares his favorite NJ pizzeria: What’s yours?
Phil Mickelson has gone on record as saying his favorite pizza joint in New Jersey is none other than Joe's Pizza, a small pizzeria in Summit. I can't say I have ever been there, but I am a fan of the name!
New Jersey pizza is hit or miss. The establishments that use similar recipes and ingredients of pizzerias in New York are usually the ones that thrive, at least in north and central Jersey and down the shoreline. I'll never say no to trying a new Garden State pizza joint though, regardless of location. That being said, my current favorite New Jersey pizzeria is Baco's in Freehold.
Some intriguing suggestions called in include La Madona in Matawan (David from Jackson), Sciortino's in Perth Amboy (Kevin from Atlantic City), and The King of Pizza in Cherry Hill (Stacey from Bordentown).
