‘Peter Pan Live’ didn’t soar in the ratings

NEW YORK (AP) -- "Peter Pan Live" didn't exactly fly for NBC. The Nielsen company said Thursday night's musical production reached 9.1 million viewers, or less than half of what "The Sound of Music" production did last year.

The live "Peter Pan" production starred Allison Williams in the title role with Christopher Walken as Captain Hook

"The Sound of Music" with Carrie Underwood reached 18.6 million viewers last year, stunning some television observers and compelling NBC to go back to work getting another musical on the air.

But this year's three-hour live production couldn't reach the same heights.
