Paul Ryan Prepares Convention Speech, While Nation Waits
Preparing for the biggest moment of his political career, Paul Ryan tested the microphones and teleprompter before his speech Wednesday night accepting the Republican vice presidential nomination.
Ryan was joined by his wife, Janna, and their three children, who played around at the podium.
The Wisconsin congressman asked to be shown where the delegations from his home state and neighboring Michigan will sit.
He said he'd point to them during his address.
The speech is expected to include a nod to Ryan's Irish immigrant ancestors and small-town values, along with praise for Mitt Romney and criticism of President Barack Obama.
When reporters asked about the speech, Ryan answered: "You'll hear tonight."
