The agency says the closures are scheduled for most weekends throughout 2014. But work will be suspended and weekend PATH service will be running next Friday for the July 4 holiday weekend.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will continue weekend ferry service that it started to help travelers who normally take PATH trains into and out of Manhattan.

The ferries sail between Paulus Hook Terminal and the World Financial Center Terminal between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturdays and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
