A tweet indicates service between Journal Square and 33rd Street on the Hoboken Line was restored around 12:30 p.m.  on Monday after being suspended after a fire broke out in a PATH tunnel in Manhattan on Sunday.

Service remained suspended through all of the morning commute; NJ Transit and NY Waterway cross-honored tickets during the disruption.

A Fire Department spokesman says the fire was reported at 3:38 p.m. Sunday at 19th Street and Sixth Avenue in Chelsea. No injuries were reported but the 23rd Street station was evacuated.
