Five Chinese kids drowned in a reservoir and the parents of two of the dead sued the company that manages the reservoir for not having signs, barriers, or guards around the water and were seeking compensation for the death of their loved ones. The company counter-sued the parents for failing in their obligation to properly supervise their children, causing their death, and furthermore, since the water was tainted by the dead bodies, the company assigned a “corpse pollution fee” to the parents for treating the water. I’d feel bad for the parents if they weren’t trying to make money of the incident, but since they are, I hope the company’s counter-suit is successful.
