The day after manager Mike Ruggiero and son Daniel found out their respective father-in-law and grandfather  died from a massive stroke in Livingston,  Par-Troy East was in the game all the way until Danny Marzo hit a long walk off homer in the bottom of the 8th to win it for the West champs.

Every time Daniel came to the plate he drew "JK" in the dirt to remember his grandfather.

New Jersey pushed across two runs in the sixth to tie it at 4. Emil Matti homered and David Ton had an RBI single.

Fans on the team's Facebook page were supportive in the loss. "Be proud boys. You made the whole town+ feel proud!!!!!!!!! :)," wrote one fan. "Heads up boys!!! YOU DID AN AWESOME JOB! You made me proud to have played in the same league," posted another supporter.
