It's good and bad news for Gov. Chris Christie regarding Bridgegate.

Democrats leading the Legislature's Select Committee on Investigation have been forced to admit they have not uncovered a smoking gun linking Christie to the lane closures at the George Washington Bridge in September 2013.

Supporters of the governor say the report clears him, while his opponents say it shows a lack of curiosity about how his administration is run.

However, the investigation by U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman continues and there are reports that he will announce indictments early next year. Christie is not likely to be implicated, but the timing hits near the first presidential primaries.
