Oyster Creek Sirens Being Tested Today
Oyster Creek's sirens are being tested today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, June 5.
The sirens will be tested for 2 to 3 minutes. Sirens are located within 20 miles of the plant and in the area of Toms River south of Route 37 according to a news advisory issued by Toms River Fire Company #2.
Oyster Creek Power Plant began operations in 1969 and will retire at the end of 2019.
The Lacey plant is owned by Exelon Generation Co., LLC.
