Overturned Truck Slows New Jersey Turnpike Truck Lanes
Cleanup from an overturned truck that caught fire in the northbound truck lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike near exit 9 has closed down the outer roadway again.
The dump truck overturned in the truck lanes and caught fire just before exit 9 (Route 18) around 8:00 a.m. closing all the outer roadway lanes. Emergency repairs were necessary following the fire and only 2 of four lanes on the truck lanes were available for several hour.
Around 1:30 p.m., however, all the truck lanes were closed again causing slow traffic for 10 miles back to exit #8A (Jamesburg).
