Paul Carrack has been around a long time and fronted many bands in addition to his solo success. He was the lead singer of Ace ("How Long" #3 in 1975), and he at various times was in Squeeze, Mike & The Mechanics, Roxy Music, and Nick Lowe & His Cowboy Outfit.  His biggest solo hit was “Don’t Shed A Tear”, which peaked at #9 in 1988.  The song I requested, “One Good Reason” didn’t do as well, but it did chart, winding up at #28 in 1988.  He had one final top 40 hit, “I Live By The Groove” (# 31 in 1989).

Big Joe ignored me again.
