One Dead, Two Injured in South Brunswick Crash

A woman was killed and two men were injured when two vehicles collided in central New Jersey.

South Brunswick police say the crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Route 522 and Ridge Road in the Middlesex County community.

Elsie Casey, a 67-year-old South Brunswick resident who was driving one of the vehicles, died a short time later at a hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle, 69-year-old Harry Eichler, and his passenger, 59-year-old John Blech, were injured in the crash. The South Brunswick men both remained hospitalized Tuesday night, but further details on their injuries were not disclosed.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation Tuesday night. But authorities say it appears that Casey went through a red light.
