One Dead, One Wounded in Gloucester Twp. Shooting

One man was killed and another was wounded when shots rang out in the parking lot of a southern New Jersey apartment complex.

Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk says 20-year-old Lamar Ortiz was shot multiple times at the Autumn Ridge Apartments in Gloucester Township, where he lived. The shooting occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. Monday, and Ortiz was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital.

An 18-year-old Marlton man was grazed by a bullet during the shooting. Faulk said the man's injuries were minor, but did not provide further details.

Authorities say a motive for the shooting remains under investigation. But they declined to disclose further details, including how many assailants may have been involved or what type of weapon was used in the shooting.
