When three comics get together in a New Jersey diner, the conversation can go anywhere.

When I took Don Jamieson and Dave Hoj to the Ewing Diner recently, we talked about when singers do comedy in between their songs. The older they get, the more stories they tell.

Jamieson, former co-host of VH1's "That Metal Show," surprised us with stories about singer Kenny Rogers. We also talked about how funny Jay Black of Jay and the Americans is when he makes fun of Frankie Valli, and a David Bowie concert where he does a bit with a James Brown doll as well as a shot at Cleveland.

Pull up a chair and feel free to share our fries.
