OCEAN TOWNSHIP — A home on a quiet, suburban street was surrounded by police tape and several police cars Wednesday, although authorities have not yet stated the reason for the investigation.

Ocean Township Police Capt. Michael Sorrentino and Detective Lt. Tim Torchia told the Asbury Park Press that officers were "collecting the facts of the case" and planned to release a statement at a later date. They did not offer any details regarding the nature of the facts they were collecting, but Sorrentino told the publication that the case is being turned over to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Charles Webster, spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office could not immediately be reached for comment, but told the Asbury Park Press Tuesday night that he did not have knowledge of the incident yet.
