Ocean County’s Most Wanted: Alleged child rapists and murderers

One's accused of a murder. Another of sexually penetrating a child under 13. Yet another of kidnapping law enforcement. Several are considered armed and dangerous.

They're the people on Ocean County's Most Wanted list — some of whom are wanted for crimes severe enough they're on the state's own most-wanted list as well.

Authorities urge: If you know any of their whereabouts, contact the Ocean County Sheriff's Field Services Division at 239 Washington St. No 6 Mott Place in Toms River. The office can be reached by phone at 732-929-2050.

OCEAN COUNTY'S MOST WANTED

Edwin Baez Jr. is wanted on charges of sexual assault with penetration and for endangering the welfare of a child under the age of 13. He's also got prior weapons and assault charges and authorities urge caution. He's white, 5 feet and 6 inches, and 160 pounds. He has multiple tattoos. On his abdomen is a tattoo that reads "King Jay" with a crown." There are tattoos of crosses on his arms, and a tattoo of "J" on his left leg.

Eyal Benyosef is wanted on a charge of bail jumping, originally stemming from charges of kidnapping a law enforcement officer, carjacking and escape. Authorities urge extreme caution. He's suspected to have sought asylum in Israel. He's white, 5 feet and 8 inches and 210 pounds. He has a tattoo on an an arm and a scar from a gunshot wound on his right arm. He was born in 1969.

Gustavo Antonio Gil is wanted on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault with force, and sexual assault with penetration on a child under the age of four. He's white, 5 feet and 10 inches, and 198 pounds. He has a neck tattoo with a Chinese symbol and pierced ears. He was born in 1984.

Abel Avila Mejia is wanted in connection with a sexual assault that occurred in Dover Township. He may be working as a cook, and was last seen in the Ocean County area. He's white, 5 feet and 5 inches, and 167 pounds.

Amado Rosales is wanted on a charge of first-degree murder , as well as charges of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and making terroristic threats. Authorities say he's known to be very violent and to carry a knife. He should be considered armed and dangerous. He's white, 5 feet and 6 inches, and 145 pounds. He has a tattoo on his left arm with "A R," and an 8-inch scar on his abdomen.

Marciano J. Sanchez is wanted on charge of attempted murder and attempted possession of a handgun. Authorities urge extreme caution. He's considered a violent offender with prior weapons charges and assault charges. He's white, 5 feet and 4 inches and 185 pounds. HE has tattoos on both arms.

Edgardo Amador-Sorto is wanted on charges of aggravates sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated sexual assault by a guardian. Authorities urge extreme caution and say he's considered armed and dangerous. He also goes by the name Timoteo or by Eddie. He is white, 5 feet and 7 inches and 200 pounds. He was born around 1981 or 1982.
