White House spokesman Keith Maley confirmed the president will travel to Union on Wednesday to attend a Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee event.

He said more details would be released in the coming days.

A spokesman for the DSCC declined to comment on the event, which comes as Democrats are fighting to retain control of the Senate.

New Jersey Democratic Sen. Cory Booker is running for re-election against Republican Jeff Bell. The Monmouth University Poll released this week shows Booker with a 15-point lead over Bell.
